Your Role and Responsibilities

Performing thorough patient evaluations, arranging for diagnostic testing, and developing personalized treatment plans

Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health issues in collaboration with physicians or independently, based on your credentials

Providing education to patients and their families concerning wellness, prevention strategies, and disease management

Prescribing relevant medications and therapies within your established scope of practice

Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic care management for continuity of care

Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, integrated patient care

Accurately documenting interactions and treatment plans in electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications and Requirements

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Certifications

Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in North Carolina

National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent in your specialty

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capacity to obtain within 90 days)
