Your Role and Responsibilities
Performing detailed patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized care plans
Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses in partnership with physicians or independently (according to your credentials)
Educating patients and their families about prevention, wellness, and management of diseases
Prescribing medications and therapies in alignment with your scope of practice
Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care management
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee cohesive and holistic care
Documenting patient information meticulously and accurately within electronic medical records (EMR)
Education and Credentials
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of a recognized Nurse Practitioner program
Essential Certifications
Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in California
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to acquire within 90 days)
