What You'll Be Doing
Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and formulating personalized care strategies
Assessing and managing acute, episodic, or ongoing health issues in collaboration with physicians or autonomously based on your credentialing
Instructing patients and their families on wellness, preventative care, and ongoing health management
Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies as per your scope of practice
Engaging in patient follow-ups and overseeing chronic care management
Working cooperatively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient care
Accurately documenting all patient interactions in electronic medical records (EMR)
Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Required Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of California
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willing to acquire within 90 days)
