Your Daily Role
Performing thorough assessments of patients, directing necessary diagnostic evaluations, and creating tailored care strategies
Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health conditions, in concert with physicians or independently, depending on your credentials
Empowering patients and their families through education on wellness, disease prevention, and effective management
Prescribing medications and various therapies within your practice parameters
Following up with patients and managing chronic conditions effectively
Working in tandem with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee seamless, integrated care
Accurately documenting all care within electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Educational Background
Earned a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Licensure and Certifications Needed
Current Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to complete within 90 days)
