Your Key Responsibilities

Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care strategies

Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health conditions in alignment with physicians or autonomously

Providing patient and family education on health promotion, wellness, and chronic disease management

Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies within your professional scope

Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation via electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications You'll Need

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner educational program

Certifications Required

Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Virginia

National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
