Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostics, and developing tailored care strategies
Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses, either independently or in partnership with physicians (as per your credentials)
Providing education to patients and families about health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options
Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within your professional scope
Engaging in ongoing patient monitoring and chronic condition management
Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal, holistic patient care
Maintaining precise and thorough documentation via electronic medical records (EMR)
Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Essential Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent in your specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain within 90 days)
