Nurse Practitioner / NP Specialist

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Performing thorough evaluations of patient health, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating personalized treatment plans

Diagnosing and managing acute, complex, or chronic conditions in partnership with physicians or independently (as allowed by credentials)

Empowering patients and their families through education on wellness, prevention, and chronic illness management

Prescribing appropriate medications and treatments within your practice scope

Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management

Working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care

Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)

Educational Background Required

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Graduation from a nationally accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Indiana

National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or relevant specialty

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or must be obtained within 90 days)
