Your Key Responsibilities

Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostics, and crafting personalized treatment plans

Independently diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic conditions, collaborating with physicians as needed

Providing education to patients and families focused on health promotion, prevention, and chronic disease management

Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with state laws and within your scope of practice

Overseeing patient follow-ups and managing chronic health issues

Collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive, integrated care

Accurately documenting patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR)

Educational Qualifications

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Credentials

Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Virginia

National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a relevant specialty

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to achieve within 90 days)
