Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic assessments, and creating tailored care strategies
Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions independently or in coordination with physicians (based on credentials)
Educating patients and their families on health maintenance, preventative measures, and effective disease management
Prescribing necessary medications and therapies as permitted by your scope of practice
Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic care
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide seamless, holistic care
Maintaining accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
Requirements for the Role
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Licenses and Certifications Needed
Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of California
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
