Your Role and Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient evaluations, initiate diagnostic tests, and develop customized care strategies
Identify and manage acute, episodic, or chronic health conditions either in collaboration with physicians or autonomously (dependent on credentialing)
Instruct patients and families about wellness, disease prevention, and management of medical conditions
Prescribe necessary medications and therapies according to your scope of practice
Engage in patient follow-up and oversee chronic care management
Work cohesively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care
Maintain accurate and complete documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
Educational Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Essential Certifications
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty certification
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain these within 90 days)
