Responsibilities You'll Embrace
Carrying out thorough patient evaluations, requesting necessary diagnostic tests, and formulating personalized treatment strategies
Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses, either in partnership with physicians or independently, depending on credentials
Providing education to patients and their families on preventive care, healthy living, and effective disease management
Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies within your scope of practice
Engaging in ongoing patient follow-up and chronic care management
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and interwoven care
Accurately documenting patient interactions in electronic medical records (EMR)
Educational Qualifications
A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Certifications Needed
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Oklahoma
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to complete within 90 days)
