Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, order necessary tests, and design personalized treatment plans

Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, or episodic health issues either independently or in collaboration with physicians, depending on your credentials

Empower patients and their families by providing education on wellness, prevention, and effective disease management

Prescribe necessary medications and treatments within your scope of practice

Participate in ongoing patient follow-up and chronic care oversight

Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic health care

Accurately document patient interactions and treatment plans in electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Requirements

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Washington state

National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or related specialty

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
