Opportunity
nPsyPhyCare, a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or NP to provide on-site medical services within a federally supported residential youth program in Manhattan, Kansas 66503 .
nOur client operates a comprehensive residential program serving young adults, ages 16–24. The program's mission is to prepare participants for meaningful employment and independent living.
nThis role provides direct clinical services to students and collaborates closely with residential and program staff in a structured, community-based environment.
nPosition Overview
nThis is a part-time contract position, approximately 10 hours per week .
nnSchedule:nnMonday — 9am to 11am (2 hrs.)
nWednesday — 9am to 3pm (6 hrs.)
nFriday — 9am to 11am (2 hrs.)

nNo weekends required
nLocation: On-site in Manhattan, KS (no telehealth or remote option)
n nScheduling is fixed within center operating hours to support student health needs and program operations.
nKey Responsibilities
nThe NP will provide comprehensive on-site primary care services to enrolled students and maintain an active presence within the Health & Wellness Department.
nResponsibilities include:
nnConducting cursory medical evaluations, typically within 48 hours of student entry
nPerforming physical examinations and providing routine and preventive primary care services
nOrdering, reviewing, and overseeing required entry laboratory studies, including hemoglobin or hematocrit testing, pregnancy testing, Pap smears (age-appropriate), chlamydia and gonorrhea testing, HIV testing, and urine drug screening
nAdministering and overseeing immunizations, including boosters for incomplete immunization series, hepatitis B vaccinations for health occupations training students, and Tuberculin skin testing (Mantoux)
nPerforming vision and hearing screenings
nAssessing and treating acute and chronic medical conditions
nProviding prescription services in coordination with nursing staff and the Center Mental Health Consultant
nCoordinating care with interdisciplinary staff and referring students to off-center physician services or specialists when advanced care is required
nPromoting preventive health education and wellness initiatives
nMaintaining accurate, timely clinical documentation and ensuring compliance with federal program standards and healthcare regulations
nUpholding all professional, ethical, and confidentiality standards
n nQualifications
nLicensure
nnCandidates must hold an active and unrestricted NP or Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Kansas and be able to practice independently.
n nCertifications & Credentials
nnCurrent DEA registration
nCurrent CPR/AED certification
nActive malpractice/professional liability insurance and general liability insurance
n nExperience
nnExperience providing primary care services in adolescent health, family medicine, community health, or similar clinical settings preferred
