Job Summary
nGeisinger is seeking experienced Family Nurse Practitioners (FNP) and/or Physician Assistants (PA-C) to join our team as a flex per diem provider supporting care for adults and adolescents based at the Geisinger Behavioral Health Center in Danville, PA.
nJob Duties
nnnPerform comprehensive medical assessments.
n
nnProvide medication management, evaluations, and daily patient rounding.
n
nnDevelop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, therapists, and case managers.
n
nnDocument all care in the Epic electronic health record.
n
nnParticipate in treatment team meetings and coordinate care transitions.
n
nnCommunicate with families, caregivers, and community providers as needed to support continuity of care.
n
n nPractice Environment
nnnPatient population: 75% adult, 25% pediatric (age 14+)
n
nnDaily encounters: 10-16
n
nnResources include onsite pharmacy and phlebotomy services; EHR is Epic
n
nnWork autonomously
n
nnNo overnight shifts and no call.

nGeisinger Behavioral Health Centers provide evidence‑based inpatient and outpatient mental health treatment for adults and adolescents. nQualifications
nThe successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will work in collaboration with the physician and have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position. Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA.
nThe successful Physician Assistant candidate will work under the responsibility and supervision of the physician and require completion of an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification or eligibility and Pennsylvania State licensure.
