Job description
Position Summary
We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work within our Neonatal ICU.
Key Responsibilities
Managing the care of critically ill infants up to 6 months post-conceptual age, as part of a multidisciplinary team, on a 30-bed Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Providing medical and surgical NICU care including but not limited to: airway and cardio-respiratory management, pain and sedation management, enteral and parenteral nutritional support, gastrointestinal disease management, congenital/genetic anomaly evaluations
Schedule is 40 hours per week (12-hour shifts), 50% rotation days and nights, weekend and holiday rotation requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Masters of Science in Nursing or Masters in Physician Assistant Studies
Experience: Must have at least 1 year experience in a Level III NICU or in a pediatric critical care setting. Will also consider a new graduate NP, PA, acute care PNP with NICU experience.
Licensure/ Certifications: A current Massachusetts NP or PA license required (Neonatal NP or Acute Care Pediatric if an NP)
Sign-on bonus: $5,000 (for 40 hours) for candidates who have not worked at BCH in the past 2 years.
