Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Thoracic Surgery (Outpatient)Valhalla, NY base with system wide presencePrimarily Schedule: 5 days/weekWe are looking for a motivated APP (Advanced Practice Provider), Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP), to join our growing Thoracic Surgery ambulatory team at WMCHealth. This strictly outpatient focused role is ideal for an APP interested in the diverse care of Thoracic Surgery patients, and for a clinician who thrives in a collaborative and fast-evolving setting with true support and mentorship.Why Join Us?Be part of an established Thoracic Surgery program that is expanding its reach, innovation, and patient care impactEnjoy a Monday to Friday schedule with no nights, weekends, holidays, or callWork in an academic environment with mentorship, learning, and leadership opportunitiesBe part of a supportive culture where APPs are integral to the team, not an afterthoughtRole Highlights:Provide comprehensive ambulatory care to patients with thoracic surgical conditions, including pulmonary, pleural, mediastinal, esophageal, chest wall, and other thoracic diseases.Manage patients across the continuum of surgical care, including initial consultation, preoperative evaluation and optimization, postoperative follow-up, surveillance, and long-term disease managementEvaluate new and established patents and develop evidence-based plans of care in collaboration with thoracic surgeons and the multidisciplinary care teamPerform applicable ambulatory procedures based on training, competency, and departmental needs.Assist in coordination of care with Pulmonary, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Pathology, and other specialties to facilitate timely diagnosis and treatment.What We're Looking For:Board certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who possesses, or is eligible to obtain, an applicable NYS license.Ideal candidates will have prior thoracic medical or surgical experience, but motivated new graduates will be considered.Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.Willingness to grow with a dynamic programCandidates with active BLS and ACLS certificationAbout Us:WMCHealth is a 1,900-bed healthcare system headquartered in Valhalla, New York, with 10 hospitals on seven campuses spanning 6,200 square miles of the Hudson Valley.
