nUnityPoint Health – Cedar Rapids serves a seven-county area surrounding Cedar Rapids. nThis position will float within our Cedar Rapids region Primary Care clinics, Express and Urgent Care clinics as well as Methwick Geriatric Clinic. This position will allow for coverage and patient access during vacations, illnesses, and leaves.

nResponsibilities
nnnFull-Time position; 36 Patient contact hours weekly
n
nnExercises independent judgements in the assessment, coordination, management and evaluation of certain medical processes and procedures, under the guidelines of the scope of practice and medical protocols.
n
nnCoordinating care of patients with other specialties
n
nnSpecialty Skills: minor procedures (i.e.: skin excisions, joint injections, lacerations)
n
nnEvaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
n
nnPatient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
n
nnExcellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
n
nnNo inpatient call coverage - Hospitalist Program is fully utilized
n
n nQualifications
nnnCurrent license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate
n
nnFamily Medicine experience desired; Ability to care for all ages
n
nnBoard certified
n
nnAbility to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
n
nnHold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
n
