Job description
St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center - Massena Wellness Center is recruiting a Nurse Practitioner – Psychiatry to provide patient‑centered, recovery‑oriented behavioral health services to individuals with mental illness. Candidates from outside or within State Service may apply.
Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric assessments, crisis intervention, treatments, and medication management.
Establish individualized goals and treatment objectives.
Prescribe medications and treatments, monitor impact, and modify as needed.
Maintain comprehensive medical records and documentation.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include:
Certification and current registration as a Nurse Practitioner in the Psychiatry specialty practice area by the New York State Education Department, or One year of permanent competitive or 55‑b/55‑c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Preferred: One year experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a psychiatric environment.

Posted Salary: statutory job rate for PS&T Grade 24 ($115,252) plus a Geographic Differential ($25,000).
