Job description
A close-knit outpatient psychiatric practice with 90+ clinicians and a decade of Maryland roots is hiring a PMHNP across Baltimore, Bethesda, Columbia, Hunt Valley, and Frederick. The practice covers a broad psychiatric scope including children, adolescents, and adults, with TMS and KAP on the menu. Hybrid schedule, minimum 2 days onsite, no call. Full admin and credentialing support — no panel building, no marketing, no prior auth burden. Suboxone prescribing and 3 years of psychiatric NP experience both required.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and establish individualized treatment plans
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications monitoring effectiveness, side effects, and progress
Manage anxiety, ADHD, ASD, depression, bipolar, PTSD, schizophrenia, personality disorders, and substance use disorders
Assess suicide risk and coordinate appropriate levels of care
Prescribe Suboxone for patients with substance use disorders as clinically indicated
Provide patient and family education on mental health conditions and medications
Maintain timely EMR documentation and coordinate with multidisciplinary team
Participate in case discussions, staff meetings, and quality improvement
Qualifications
Active Maryland APRN license and active DEA enrollment required
PMHNP certification required
Minimum 3 years psychiatric NP experience required
Standard DSM scope of psychiatric experience required
Suboxone prescribing experience required
Schedule & Compensation
$140,000–$155,000/year
Full-time | Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–6:00 PM window
