As a Nurse Practitioner, Your Key Responsibilities Include
Performing comprehensive patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care plans
Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses, either in collaboration with physicians or autonomously (depending on credentials)
Providing patient education on prevention strategies, wellness practices, and management of diseases
Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies in accordance with the practice regulations
Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic care management strategies
Working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless and holistic patient care
Maintaining thorough and precise documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
Education and Certifications Needed
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree
Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Required Credentials
Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
