Job description

Nurse Practitioner - Erie Urgent Care

Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303

$49.98- $74.97 an hour - Part Time Days, 12 hours per week.

+$2.50/hr for weekend shifts.

BCH is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Urgent Care team, providing high-quality, patient-centered care for patients of all ages with minor illnesses and injuries. This role is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients in a fast-paced urgent care setting, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, performing minor procedures, and collaborating with physicians and clinical staff to deliver exceptional care. Qualifications

• Possession of a Colorado State Nurse Practitioner license.

• National Nurse Practitioner Certification required within conditional period of employment.

• Prescriptive authority required.

• Must be credentialed by BCH Medical Staff Office prior to hire date.

• BLS certification required by the end of conditional period.

• Minimum of 2 years NP experience in an urgent care setting or ED required

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries in an urgent care setting.

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, order and interpret diagnostic testing, and develop treatment plans.

• Prescribe medications, administer treatments, and perform minor procedures such as suturing.

• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and preventive health measures.

• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

• Respond to urgent and emergent patient needs while maintaining accurate documentation and confidentiality.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, chart reviews, and ongoing professional development.
