Job Description Job DescriptionI need someone to help me take care of my large rural family practice now in its 22nd year. Must love people (even the difficult ones) and truly enjoy practicing medicine.
The preferred candidate would have experience as an independent practitioner, but other experience in healthcare will be taken into consideration. My team sees a wide variety of acute and chronic care cases, and we pride ourselves on the continuity of care that we provide since many of our patients have been with us for over a decade. Personable, customized attention to the individual is essential, inspired by genuine curiosity and caring about both the person and the medicine involved.
Billing and coding knowledge is necessary in this job, but realizing most providers today do not have much if any such training or experience, you must be willing and able to learn.
We are a small but mighty team: one feisty MD, one sassy MA, and one stalwart office manager. We are outpatient-only, office hours M-F, 9-5. Looking for someone to work 4 days a week, but would be flexible for the right candidate. Salary commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
Qualifications:
Previous experience in nursing and primary care
Ability to build rapport with patients
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Company DescriptionWe are a "micro-practice" with just two staff and two providers. While the salary may seem low, I supplement with large year-end bonuses based upon the bonus money we receive as part of our participation in Medicare and commercial payor Value Based Care contracts, typically 5-8% of total annual salary.
