nWe are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team! As a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant you would perform one-time examinations for compensation and pension evaluations for veterans and other military personnel (no prescribing or treatment involved). The evaluation process involves an appointment with the veteran to gather medical history, perform an examination as well as completing a computer-based report. nResponsibilities
nConduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations specific to each case
nReview medical history and the evidence case file and extract pertinent data
nComplete reports associated with Veterans' Compensation and Pension Exams
nCollaborate and communicate effectively with management and support team as well as partner organizations
nUtilize computer-based technology to perform examinations, reports and administrative tasks
nQualifications
nCertification as a Nurse Practitioner OR
nCertification as a Physician Assistant
nPrevious experience in primary care is preferred
nStrong clinical knowledge and expertise in general medical practice
nExcellent communication and strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
nStrong computer technical skills
nAbility to work independently and make sound clinical judgments
nCommitment to ongoing professional development
nFlexible work from home options available.
