Job description
Patient Care TechnicianThe Patient Care Technician position provides Senior-level nursing students an opportunity to assist licensed nursing personnel in the implementation of day-to-day patient care as well as the routine operations of the nursing unit. The Patient Care Technician provides care to the patients appropriate to the assigned unit.Job RequirementsMinimum EducationHigh school or equivalentEnrolled in a prelicensure BSN or ADN program and completed first semester of nursing schoolMinimum Work ExperienceNo previous work experienceRequired Licenses/CertificationsBLS - should not initiate patient contact until completedRequired Skills; Knowledge; and AbilitiesInput data in computer programs.Maintain professional appearance at all times.Ability to handle confidential information.
