This role is perfect for nursing students enrolled in an RN or LPN program who want meaningful hands-on experience while working under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.Position DetailsPM Shift: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PMEvery other weekend and holiday rotationIrregular part-time (less than 40 hours per pay period)Opportunity to pick up additional shiftsPay: $22.20 per hour, plus shift and weekend differentials and annual step progressionAbout the RoleAs a Nurse Technician, you will help support the nursing care team by providing direct resident care in a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. Under RN supervision, you will administer medications and treatments, communicate resident needs to supervising staff, carry out physician orders as directed, and assist with implementing individualized plans of care. This position offers valuable experience in long-term care while you continue your nursing education.What You'll DoProvide direct nursing care, including medication and treatment administration under RN supervisionSupport resident safety, wellbeing, and comfortCommunicate resident information to the RN and serve as a liaisonCarry out assigned duties promptly, safely, and accuratelyFollow safety practices and facility standardsUphold resident rights, dignity, and confidentialityWork collaboratively and respectfully with staff, residents, families, and the publicSeek assistance when faced with clinical questions or concernsAttend required in-service educationPhysical RequirementsFrequent standing, walking, and hands-on care throughout the shiftBending, squatting, pushing/pulling wheelchairs or cartsOccasional lifting up to 60 poundsUse of nursing equipment such as lifts, scales, BP devices, thermometersAbility to read, write, and communicate in EnglishQualificationsCurrently enrolled and actively taking courses in an RN or LPN program (no break > 1 year), and have completed a pharmacology/medication administration courseOR previously attempted licensure exam and awaiting retakeCertified Nursing Assistant listed on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide RegistryPassing grades maintained in all nursing coursesSuccessful completion of caregiver background checkMust work under direct supervision of an on-site RN per Wisconsin Administrative CodeWhy Hillview?
