Job Description
Manages, develops, implements, and evaluates the service unit patient safety and risk management program using safety data and risk assessments to identify priorities, reduce preventable harm, ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance, and advise leadership and staff on patient safety, high-reliability practices, and corrective actions.
Manages patient safety event review and investigations, analyzes safety and risk data, conducts risk assessments and tracers, and leads corrective and performance-improvement actions to identify system vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, ensure compliance, and improve patient safety outcomes.
Develops and evaluates clinical education, orientation, and competency programs to support staff development and safe patient care.
Maintains required program records and reports and supports staff through consultation, training, and professional development.
