Nursing Assistant - Float – Full-time - NightsBe an Advocate, a Care Taker, a Friend to Patients. Nursing Assistant - Float – Full-time - NightsAt New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist, certified nursing assistants thrive at the bedside as invaluable care providers. Together, we serve as critical points of contact for patients and their families. Be a true partner with Registered Nurses, Nurse Technicians and more. Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients, while ensuring the delivery of meals and safe transport. So bring your smile to work. Infuse energy and hospitality into a patient's day. Provide comfort and caring as a certified nurse's aide at NYP-keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly. Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient careFloat to all units-in the hospital such as - Med-Surg- Critical Care-Psychiatry- Emergency Department or where needed.This a full-time night position (11:45PM-7:45AM) at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist, 3 weekend a month is requiredPreferred CriteriaIdeal candidates have at least 1 year of experience as a nurse's aide in a hospital.Required CriteriaHigh school diploma or GEDCertification from an approved, accredited Nurse Assistant training program or currentEnrollment in a BSN program & completion of at least 1 clinical rotationCurrent BLS Training from the American Heart AssociationExcellent communication and customer service skillsBasic computer skillsJoin a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
