Medical Surgical Nursing Assistant (Non-Certified)Shifts Available: NightsEmployment Type: Full-timeHours: 12-hour shifts – 7:00pm to 7:00amLocation: Riverview Regional Medical Center – Gadsden, ALWe are seeking a Medical Surgical Nursing Assistant (Non-Certified), also referred to Nursing Assistant (NA) or Med-Surg NA. A Med Surg Nursing Assistant will assist with patient care by supporting daily activities, mobility, feeding, and vital signs while monitoring for any changes. Additionally, the Med Surg Nurse will help nurses by maintaining supplies, assisting with wound care, and ensuring a clean, safe environment.ResponsibilitiesIf you are a non-licensed Nursing Assistant (NA) and have no prior experience, we encourage you to apply. Entry-Level NAs are welcome to apply!Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toiletingHelp with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to prevent skin breakdown, you may also feed patients who need assistance and monitor intake/outputTake and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration), observe and report changes in a patient's condition to nurses, you may also help with wound care under the direction of an RNStock and maintain supplies in patient rooms, ensure the environment stays clean and safeAssist in transporting patients within the hospitalQualifications1. Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.2. Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.3. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.4.
