They assist with direct and indirect patient care within their scope of practice, supporting patients, nursing and medical care teams. The care delivered is in collaboration and under the supervision/delegation of the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The Nursing Assistant (NA) shares accountability for the quality of patient outcomes.
