Pay Rate : $17.75 per hour

nAt the Otero County Processing Center , our employees strive to improve the lives of those in our care through robust educational programming, clinical care, and other resources. We are seeking full-time Nursing Assistant to join our team.
nWhat you'll do : You'll be responsible for passing medications, filing, answering requests for information, and providing healthcare to detainees in compliance with MTC Medical and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) directives.
nEssential Functions:
nnnReceive and maintain medical supplies and store properly. Provide accurate documentation and inventory.
n
nnEnter prescription information into log: create labels and Medication Administration Records.
n
nnEnsure medical supply cart, trauma bag, the PPE room and the facility first aid kits are fully and accurately stocked at all times.
n
nnReturn medications to pharmacy.
n
nnSubmit order forms for medical and office supplies, under supervision of Registered Nurse and Physician.
n
nnAssist with maintenance of the Sick Call, Chronic Clinic and Specialty Logs.
n
n nEducation and Experience Requirements:
nnnHigh school graduate or equivalent.
n
nnMay be a Nurse Assistant/Aide, Emergency Medical Technician, orMedical Assistant with appropriate certification or permit licensed to practice in New Mexico.
n
nnOne year of experience in a hospital, clinic or correctional setting preferred.
n
nnDemonstrated competency in word processing and computer data entry.
n
nnMust hold current CPR certification.
n
nnValid driver's license in the state of New Mexico or Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
