Nursing Assistant Inpatient, Float Pool (PRN)Eau Claire, WIFacility: Marsh Med Ctr Eau Claire Location: Eau Claire, WI Address: 2310 Craig Rd, Eau Claire, WI 54701, USA Shift: 12 Hours - Varied Shifts Job Schedule: PRN Weekly Hours: Varies Salary Range: 18.00 - 24.00Job SummaryThe Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the patient during the scheduled work period. The NA provides patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned patient under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Provide assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities; bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, meal preparation and dining needs, emotional and spiritual needs. Administer delegated tasks and treatments. Record vital statistics and other basic health information.Will collect non-invasive biological specimens from patients as needed. Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare. Prepare patient treatment areas for use; prepare and clean medical equipment; dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy. Clean patient living areas or treatment rooms. When necessary for safe provision of care, employee will provide one on one care to patients.QualificationsHigh school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.If working in North Dakota (ND) or Minnesota (MN) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be on the NA Registry as a Nursing Assistant through the North Dakota Dept. of Health or through the Minnesota Dept. of Health within four months from the date of hire.If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with current work eligibility or a student nurse, currently enrolled at a school approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing, who has completed a basic nursing course and 16 hours of clinical experience.Sanford is an EEO/AA Employer M/F/Disability/Vet.
