Under the direction of nursing leadership and Registered Nurses, you'll provide hands-on support to patients while helping the unit run smoothly.Your responsibilities will include:Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal careTake and document vital signsParticipate in hourly roundingRespond promptly to patient call lightsAssist with meals, tray setup, feeding, and nutritional needsHelp patients with repositioning, ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercisesAssist with physical and occupational therapy activities as directedMaintain patient comfort, safety, and cleanlinessObserve patients and promptly report changes in their physical or emotional condition to the nursing teamAccurately document patient careRespect patient rights, privacy, dignity, and confidentialityCommunicate professionally with patients, families, nurses, physicians, and other hospital staffWork as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide quality patient careWhat We're Looking ForMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentAt least 1 year of customer service experienceExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a teamStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple prioritiesProfessional and courteous approach when working with patients, families, and staffBasic computer literacyAbility and willingness to float to other hospital units based on health system needsPrevious hospital or healthcare experience is preferred, but not required.We'll Help You Get Your CNA!Interested in healthcare but don't have your New York State Certified Nursing Assistant certification yet?Don't let that stop you from applying!
