Hillcrest Hospital Cushing is a 99-bed community-owned facility offering a variety of services for patients of all ages in the Cushing, Oklahoma area.
The hospital offers 24-hour emergency services, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging, orthopedics, neurosurgery, urology and more. In 2025, the hospital will add inpatient behavioral health services.
The ED has 9 beds and the role will oversee approximately 21 FTE's ranging from RN's, LPN's and a paramedic.
TheRNNurse Manager is responsible for assisting the CNO with the overallleadershipresponsibilities of the department in accordance with established nursing standards, philosophy and Hillcrest's mission/vision. The Nurse Manager serves as a vital link between management and the clinical staff as well asstrivingto achieve efficient, safe andcost-effectivepatient care.
Job Requirements:
Current RN License in the state of Oklahoma.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing(BSN).
ACLS and PALS within 90 days of employment.
At least 1 year of experience in the Emergency Department
BLS certification must be obtained with 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Previous Charge or leadership experience
Certification preferred: CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse), NE-BC, NEA-BC, or other relevant nursing leadership certification.
Demonstrated ability to lead change, build team accountability, and foster a positive culture during periods of transition.
Prior experience managing an Emergency Department with responsibility for frontline clinical staff and day-to-day operations.
