Local Intermodal Truck Driver | $83,000 Annual Average + $10K Bonus
Hey drivers, are you sick of missing out on life at home for weak miles and inconsistent dispatch? I'm looking for reliable operators right now to fill our high-demand local intermodal fleet anchored out of Northwest Ohio.
1. The Earnings & Sign-On Bonus
Pull in an estimated annualized average of $83,000 based on driver earnings over the last six to twelve months (roughly $1,596 weekly, fluctuating based on your mileage and activity pay), backed by a limited-time $10,000 sign-on bonus.
Base mileage pay ranges from $0.51 to $0.57 per mile, stacked with robust activity-based pays like $33 drop and hook, $48 live load/unload, $25 hazmat loads, $30 refrigerated loads, and $75 border crossings.
2. The Route & Freight
Run rail freight to and from rail yards in Toledo (NS) and North Baltimore (BNSF/CSX) to customers within a 250-mile radius, covering regional markets like Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, and minor lanes into Michigan and Canada.
Haul general commodities and food-grade items (40-50% pork or pork derivatives) in 53' containers with 100% no-touch freight.
3. Shift Flow & Schedule
Work a consistent Thursday - Monday schedule with start times beginning at 1800. Shifts average 10 hours (capable of reaching 12 hours) with guaranteed daily home time.
Operate automatic day cabs with required slip seating (no passengers or pets permitted; trucks cannot be taken home).
4. Special Requirements & Qualifications
Requires a minimum of 3 months of tractor-trailer experience, plus a mandatory pre-employment DOT drug screening (urine and hair follicle tests) and a DOT physical.
Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are required within 180 days of hire (costs reimbursed with receipts), and a Passport or Fast Pass is needed for Canada freight (reimbursed).
