Job description
OB/GYN Academic Laborist/Hospitalist
Location: Columbia, South Carolina
Prisma Health, the largest not‑for‑profit healthcare organization in South Carolina, seeks a full‑time BE/BC OB/GYN Laborist/Hospitalist at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.
Responsibilities
Manage the Labor & Delivery floor, including staffing and oversight
Participate in emergency department consults
Staff triage and patient transports
Assist with antepartum and postpartum management
Perform emergency and unscheduled OB/GYN cases
Collaborate with residents and participate in undergraduate medical education
Qualifications
Board Eligible or Board Certified OB/GYN

Academic & Teaching Opportunities
Shape the future of OB/GYN medicine by educating medical students, OB/GYN residents, and family practice residents.
Richland campus serves as primary site for graduate medical education at the University of South Carolina, offering a variety of residencies and fellowships.
Academic appointment with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, commensurate with experience.
Engage in Grand Rounds, access diverse educational opportunities, and continually refine surgical skills in a supportive, hands‑on environment.
