Join Allina Health's premier OB/GYN Hospitalist team and be a critical part of a respected women's health program that delivers expert care when patients need it most. From managing complex obstetric situations to supporting community physicians and advancing team-based care, you'll help shape exceptional experiences for mothers, babies, and families throughout Minnesota. Our OB/GYN Hospitalist provide in-house obstetrical coverage of the labor and delivery unit, antepartum and postpartum units, and triage areas.

Seven labor and delivery locations; 12,300 deliveries/year; 30 clinics; OBGYNs; OB hospitalists; Clinical Nurse Midwives, and Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialists.
Quaternary hospital: Abbott Northwestern, Lv IV NICU; Tertiary hospitals - Mercy & United with level III NICUs, and 6 regional hospitals

24/7 hospitalist model providing labor and delivery coverage, obstetric emergency care, and inpatient gynecologic services - Thetwo-physician model on Labor & Delivery

Job Highlights:
Provide comprehensive inpatient OB/GYN care, including Labor & Delivery, postpartum management, obstetric emergencies, and inpatient gynecologic consultations.
Serve as a key member of a 24/7 hospitalist program, caring for both assigned and unassigned patients while ensuring rapid response to high-acuity clinical situations.
Collaborate closely with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, Certified Nurse Midwives, Family Medicine OB physicians, and community OB/GYN providers to deliver coordinated, team-based care.
Manage a diverse patient population ranging from routine obstetrics to medically and surgically complex maternal cases, including urgent operative deliveries.
Utilize Epic (Excellian) within a flexible hospitalist model offering shared day, night, weekend, and holiday coverage.

Required Qualifications
Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalent from an approved medical program
Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in OB/GYN
Job Requirements
Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)
Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below:
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross
Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)
Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN upon hire required
Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate upon hire required
Prescription Monitoring Program upon hire required
National Provider Identifier upon hire required

Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently
Pay Range
Flat Rate: $197.00 per hour*This position is paid on a standard non-negotiable hourly rate. Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
