Job description
OB/GYN Hospitalist Provider
North Memorial Health is seeking a dedicated OB/GYN Hospitalist to provide in‑house coverage at our North Memorial Hospital and Maple Grove Hospital sites. The role supports complex and routine obstetric care, emergency gynecologic procedures, and collaboration with neonatology and maternal‑fetal medicine specialists.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive in‑hospital obstetric coverage and emergency gynecologic care.
Accept and manage high‑risk transfers and unassigned patients with neonatal and maternal‑fetal medicine teams.
Deliver full spectrum antepartum care and deliveries, working independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary providers.
Consult with patients or guardians to develop individualized care plans.
Work a 12‑hour day/evening/night shift schedule with weekend rotation and on‑premise/ off‑premise call as needed.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, committees, and education projects.
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN.
Graduate of an accredited Medical or Osteopathic school.
Relevant clinical experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Current valid Minnesota medical license and DEA registration.
Active medical staff credentials in the specialty.
Practice Settings
North Memorial Hospital – Level 1 Trauma Center, 353‑bed tertiary facility with 20 OR suites.
Maple Grove Hospital – Level IV Trauma Center, 138‑bed community hospital, recognized for Women & Children Care.
Robust support with 24/7 intensivist, ED, and anesthesia teams for code blues.
Bedside ultrasound on every unit and full Epic EMR integration.
Well‑established hospitalist group with internal leadership council.
