About the Facility This inpatient facility provides obstetric and gynecologic services to an adult patient population and operates with an established clinical team of 2 physicians and 4 nurses. The facility maintains structured workflows and clinical protocols to support continuous obstetric and gynecologic care delivery across all assigned coverage periods. Clinical operations are conducted on-site in accordance with 24-hour call coverage requirements, with call shared among clinical staff.

The state features natural landscapes including mountain terrain, the scenic Outer Banks coastline, and diverse state parks, as well as cultural destinations and historic sites distributed across its distinct regions. Year-round activities spanning outdoor recreation, community events, and regional attractions are accessible throughout the state.
About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians will provide inpatient obstetric and gynecologic coverage through 24-hour shifts on an on-site basis, with coverage beginning in November on an ongoing basis. Call coverage is a required component of this assignment, structured at a 1:3 call ratio and shared with clinical staff; clinicians are not required to remain on-site during call but must respond within 30 minutes. The total inpatient census averages 6 patients per day with 2-3 OB checks daily, 14 surgical cases per month, and 30-40 deliveries per month. Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required for all clinicians considered for this position.
