Residency Program Director - Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Position type: Full‑Time

Department: Obstetrics & Gynecology

Location: NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, 1400 Pelham Parkway South, Bronx, NY 10461

Salary: $320,000

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Residency Program Director to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457‑bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. Jacobi is a designated Baby‑Friendly Hospital and has a 24‑hour rooming‑in for babies and special visiting hours for siblings. Jacobi performs on average 1,560 live births annually. Their onsite Breast Health Center has received a three‑year/full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons and is dedicated to the prevention, care, and management of breast disease.

The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details:

Design, strategize, and launch a new OB/GYN residency program

Develop an educational curriculum

Monitor and follow up on residency performance indicators

Strengthen teaching skills of existing staff and prepare for transition to roles as educators

Foster the academic and professional development of residents

Manage clinical scheduling of residents and monitor residents' duty hours, as required by ACGME regulation

Maintain current knowledge of and compliance with the ACGME Program Requirements

Oversee administration and educational activities

Direct supervision of all program residents and program staff

Provide direct patient care outside of resident program panels, as required

Qualifications

Licensed to practice medicine in the state of New York

Board certified in General Obstetrics and Gynecology

Proven clinical and administrative leadership experience

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $320,000*, based on 40‑hour work week.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $392,000**, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contributions and other factors as set forth below:

Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.

401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.

After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.

Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.

Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.

Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top‑tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.

Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you. Additional employee‑paid Voluntary Life and AD&D coverage is available for you and your family.

Loan Forgiveness: Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or federal programs.

Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence‑based): Provided at no cost to the employee.

Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).

Pre‑tax employee‑paid contributions for commuting expenses.

Visa sponsorship will be considered for this position.
