Job description
OB Surg Tech - Labor & Delivery, Nights, PTResponsible for handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the obstetrical operations performed in the Operating Room located in the Labor and Delivery unit. He/she has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) RequiredWork ExperienceGraduate from a Surgical Technologist training program Required or1 year previous operating room experience as a Surgical/Delivery Room Technologist Required or3 years of experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting RequiredLicenses and CertificationsBCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire RequiredNRP - Neonatal Resuscitation PreferredPiedmont Henry Hospital
