The facility features an 18-bed department with robust support staff including 24/7 CRNA coverage, respiratory therapy, surgical first assist, and dedicated labor and delivery nursing teams, ensuring a strong and collaborative care environment.
Opportunity:
Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
Provide comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services with an average of 6.7 patient encounters per shift
24-hour call shifts beginning at 6AM, with ideal scheduling of 7 or more consecutive days; shorter durations also considered
Primarily solo call coverage; extended contracts of greater than one week may include midwife primary call with locum providing backup
Facility delivers approximately 600 babies annually with no laborist on staff
Manage both low and high risk pregnancies
Perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
Perform routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal and cesarean sections
Manage complex obstetric cases including multiple births and abruptions
Decision-making authority for cesarean sections required
Perform major operative gynecology including ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOA's
Handle OB GYN emergency call patient consults
Support staff includes 24/7 CRNA, 24/7 respiratory therapy, surgical first assist, minimum 2 L&D RNs with increased staffing as needed, 2 NICU nurses, and 1 OB tech
Call ratio 1:2 with midwife backup support as scheduled
Board certification required; active Missouri license or IMLC required
ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications required
Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
