The Role:
Location: Gaylord, Cadillac, and Charlevoix, MI
Shift Type: 24-hour coverage; coverage needed approximately 3 to 6 days per month. Days of week vary.
Call Details: Yes - 24-hour call coverage typically 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.; beeper/phone call coverage; call ratio of 1:5; average callback volume varies.
Cases: Routine vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, management of obstetric emergencies.
Practice Setting: 100% Inpatient/Hospital-Based. Trauma Level I and Level II facilities. Patient population: Adult. Average daily patient volume: 2 to 5 patients, depending on census and acuity.
Qualifications: Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology required; broad scope OB/GYN experience including routine deliveries, C-sections, and obstetric emergencies in a rural setting; clean malpractice history required. Candidates must hold an active Michigan medical license at time of submission.
Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, EFM, and NRP. DEA registration required.
Site Charting System: Oracle.
Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days
