Job description
Position Type: Locum
Specialty: Physician - OB/GYN
Location: Federal Way, WA
Shift: Clinic: 8:00 AM-4:45 PM; in-house call: 7:00 AM-7:00 AM; 3 clinic shifts and 1 call shift per week
Position Details: Full-time, 1.0 FTE; approximately 18-24 patients per day; 60-70% OB and 30-40% GYN; flexible scheduling based on provider availability
Patient Population: Obstetric and gynecologic patients; high-risk and low-risk pregnancies
Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
Responsibilities: Manage labor and delivery patients, assist CNMs/FPOBs, provide GYN emergency coverage, manage antepartum patients, perform clinic visits and procedures, and provide call coverage
Required Procedures: Labor and delivery management; routine and high-risk obstetric care; GYN emergency coverage; LEEP, colposcopy, birth control procedures including IUD and Nexplanon placement; circumcisions if desired
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: Labor and Delivery RNs, CNMs, FPOBs, X-ray tech, MA, RN, LPN/LVN, lab tech, sonographer
Days Per Month: Approximately 12 clinic shifts and 4 call shifts per month
On-Call/Weekends: One in-house 24-hour call shift per week; weekend availability may be required
Submission Requirements:
- Board Eligible in OB/GYN - Required; Board Certified - Highly Preferred
- Active WA License or IMLC with LOQ in hand - Required
- BLS - Required; DEA - Highly Preferred and required during credentialing
- NPDB report
