Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician (OB/GYN Laborist) - Locum Tenens Opportunity in Fort Mill, SC Board-certified Obstetrics & Gynecology physician needed for a locum tenens OB/GYN laborist opportunity in Fort Mill, South Carolina, near Charlotte, NC. Job Details Employment Type: Locum tenens Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) - Laborist Setting: Hospital-based labor and delivery / obstetrics and gynecology unit Location: Fort Mill, SC 29715 - a vibrant, growing community known for its friendly atmosphere, convenient access to Charlotte, and mix of suburban comfort and nearby dining, shopping, and outdoor recreation Start Date: 09/01/2026 End Date: 12/31/2026 Duration: 17 weeks Openings: 2 Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,160 - $7,290 Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days, with expedited processing possible Board Certification: Required Certification: BLS required On-site: Yes Job Requirements Board certification in OB/GYN required Fellowship training preferred Current BLS certification required Strong clinical skills in low-risk and high-risk pregnancy management Experience with fetal heart rate interpretation, OB ultrasounds, amniocentesis, and operative deliveries Proficiency in managing complicated deliveries, including C-sections, breech presentations, VBACs, and multiple births Ability to perform office-based and minor gynecology procedures as well as surgical gynecology procedures Comfortable working in a fast-paced labor and delivery environment Responsibilities Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care for patients across a wide range of acuity levels Manage laborist coverage, including routine deliveries and complex obstetric cases Interpret fetal monitoring studies and perform obstetric ultrasound assessments Support high-risk pregnancy care and assist with clinical decision-making for cesarean delivery when needed Perform gynecologic procedures such as IUD placement, colposcopy, cystoscopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP Handle surgical gynecology cases, including laparoscopic and operative procedures Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to provide timely, patient-centered care Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism in all patient encounters Apply now to explore this OB/GYN locum tenens opportunity in Fort Mill, South Carolina, and join a collaborative healthcare team today.
