This medical center is a well-established healthcare facility serving the Fort Mill and greater Charlotte region, offering a comprehensive range of medical services. The facility features a 15-bed department and operates as a Level 2 trauma center with a Level 3 pediatric designation, providing strong support for both providers and patients.
Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Obstetrics and Gynecology - Laborist
Job Details:
Provide comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology laborist services with 5 patient encounters per shift
Manage both low and high risk pregnancies with full delivery services
Perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
Conduct OB ultrasounds including Level I/Screening (viability) and Level II/Targeted (anatomic) with performance and interpretation capabilities
Perform amniocentesis procedures
Handle routine deliveries including vaginal, low forceps, and decision-making for c-sections
Manage complicated deliveries including c-sections, breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
Perform repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
Provide office and minor gynecology services including IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP
Provide surgical gynecology services including open procedures, laparoscopic diagnostic and minor procedures (tubal ligation, LOA's, chromotubation), and operative/major procedures (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's)
Laser certification required
Must hold an active South Carolina medical license
Board certification required with BLS certification
Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days with expedite options available

Compensation:
