This medical center is a community-focused facility serving the Granbury area, offering comprehensive women's health and obstetric services within an 8-bed department. The facility operates at a Level 4 trauma designation and provides a supportive environment for locum providers.
Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
Holiday call coverage from 12/24 at 7am through 12/28 at 7am - candidates must be available for the entire stint
2-4 patient encounters per shift within an 8-bed department
Must hold an active Texas medical license
Board certification required
BLS certification required
Credentialing timeframe approximately 30-45 days
Manage low risk pregnancies and perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
Perform amniocentesis procedures
Conduct Level I/Screening (viability) OB ultrasounds
Perform routine deliveries including vaginal and low forceps
Decision-making for c-sections required
Handle complicated deliveries including c-sections, breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations required
Perform surgical gynecology including laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures such as tubal ligation, LOA's, and chronal tubation
Perform operative/major gynecological procedures including ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOA's
Nearest airports are DFW or Love Field SW
Lodging recommendations include Hilton or local B&Bs on the square
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
