Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician - Locum Tenens in Granbury, Texas Join a Texas locum tenens physician opportunity in Granbury for four days of holiday call coverage supporting obstetric and gynecologic patients. This focused assignment offers an OB/GYN physician the opportunity to provide comprehensive care in an 8-bed department, including routine and complicated deliveries, surgical gynecology, and urgent obstetric care. Granbury is a charming lakeside community near Lake Granbury with convenient access to the Dallas-Fort Worth area and nearby airports.
Locum Tenens Physician Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,480-$7,670 Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology Position: OB/GYN Physician - Locum Tenens Location: Granbury, Texas Assignment Type: Locum tenens Coverage Dates: December 24, 2026 at 7:00 a.m. through December 28, 2026 at 7:00 a.m. Duration: 4 days Coverage: Holiday call coverage; candidates must be available for the entire assignment Patient Volume: Approximately 2-4 patient encounters per shift Department: 8-bed obstetrics and gynecology department Trauma Level: Level IV Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30-45 days OB/GYN Physician Job Requirements Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree At least 1 year of experience in obstetrics and gynecology Board certification in the appropriate specialty is required Active, unrestricted medical license and eligibility to practice in Texas Current BLS certification Demonstrated experience managing low-risk pregnancies and routine vaginal deliveries Proficiency in fetal heart rate interpretation, including NST, CST, and FSE Experience with amniocentesis, cesarean deliveries, breech presentations, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs, and repair of third- and fourth-degree lacerations Experience with laparoscopic and operative gynecologic procedures, including ectopic pregnancy management, oophorectomy, cystectomy, and extensive lysis of adhesions High-risk pregnancy experience and open surgical gynecology experience are preferred Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician Responsibilities Provide uninterrupted holiday call coverage for the full assignment period Evaluate and treat obstetric and gynecologic patients in the hospital setting Manage routine vaginal deliveries, low-forceps deliveries, cesarean sections, breech presentations, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs Perform clinical decision-making for cesarean delivery and other urgent obstetric interventions Interpret fetal monitoring studies and perform or interpret level I obstetric ultrasounds as clinically appropriate Perform amniocentesis and repair complex obstetric lacerations Provide surgical gynecology care, including laparoscopic and major operative procedures Collaborate with the healthcare team to support safe, timely, and high-quality patient care Apply now for this OB/GYN locum tenens opportunity in Granbury, Texas, and support patients during this holiday coverage assignment.
