Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician Jobs - Locum Tenens Opportunity in Hickory, NC
Board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN physicians: take on an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Hickory, North Carolina, with 24-hour call coverage and no clinic responsibilities.
Job Details
Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,160 - $7,290
Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN), women's services
Assignment Type: Ongoing locum tenens coverage with urgent coverage windows available
Schedule: 24-hour call, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Clinic Responsibilities: None
Average Patient Volume: Approximately 3 patient encounters per shift
Location: Hickory, North Carolina (western NC healthcare opportunity)
Job Requirements 1+ year of Obstetrics and Gynecology experience required
Active North Carolina medical license required
Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
ACLS and BLS certification required
Clean professional history required for emergency privileges
Experience managing low-risk and high-risk pregnancies
Ability to interpret fetal heart rate monitoring and perform OB ultrasounds
Responsibilities Provide 24-hour call coverage for obstetric and gynecologic patients in a women's services setting
Manage low-risk and high-risk pregnancies
Perform and interpret routine and targeted obstetric ultrasound exams
Interpret fetal heart rate monitoring, including NST, CST, and FSE
Handle routine vaginal deliveries and complicated deliveries, including C-sections
Support decision-making for cesarean delivery and manage breech, multiple births, abruption, and VBAC cases
Perform repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
Provide surgical gynecology care, including open and minimally invasive procedures
