Locum OB/GYN Physician Paducah, KY Inpatient Hospital-Based Coverage

License/Certs: KY Medical License preferred; BLS/ACLS/PALS (willing to discuss)
Experience: Proven OB/GYN skills, preferably inpatient hospital experience

What You ll DoProvide inpatient obstetric and gynecological care, including routine and complicated deliveries
Perform vaginal deliveries, including low forceps and breech presentations
Make decisions regarding C-sections and manage high-risk pregnancies
Repair third and fourth-degree lacerations
Conduct OB emergency call coverage and coordinate with midwives on patient care
Document all patient encounters accurately using EPIC EMR system
Support hospital neonatal and nursery care for Level II nursery patients
What You Need
Required:
Valid KY medical license or willingness to obtain
Active OB/GYN certification and experience in inpatient hospital setting
Proficiency in obstetric procedures and emergency call coverage
Skills in high-risk pregnancy management and delivery techniques
Preferred:
Prior experience with EPIC EMR
Ability to handle low volume of C-section patients
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
About the Assignment
This assignment involves providing on-call obstetric and gynecological care at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY. The facility handles approximately deliveries annually, with a supportive environment including onsite labs and ultrasound. Midwives will manage their own patient call and deliveries, offering flexibility and team collaboration.
