Locum OB/GYN Physician Opportunity in Paducah, KY (Hospital-Based, Inpatient)

Shift: 7:00 AM 7:00 AM (On-Call)

Employment Type: Locum
Licensure/Certifications: KY medical license (or willing to obtain), DEA, ACLS/PALS/NRP (or willing to obtain)
Experience: Comfortable managing inpatient women s health cases with routine and complex deliveries

What You ll Do
Provide inpatient OB/GYN care, including routine and complicated deliveries (VBACs, Breech, C-Section)
Manage emergency and elective procedures, such as low forceps delivery and laceration repairs
Review and make decisions on C-section and delivery plans
Collaborate with midwives and hospital staff in an inpatient setting
Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR system
Support on-call coverage with approximately 1-6 patient encounters daily
What You Need
Kentucky medical license (or willingness to obtain)
Board Eligible/Board Certified in OB/GYN
Minimum of 2+ years experience in inpatient OB/GYN care
Ability to perform routine and emergency deliveries and surgical procedures
Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate within a hospital team
Willingness to work in a hospital environment and participate in on-call duties
About the Assignment
Join a well-respected hospital that handles around 700-800 deliveries annually, including low volume C-section cases. On-site labs and ultrasound services are available, with midwives managing their own deliveries. The facility maintains a Level II Nursery and offers a supportive environment for physicians providing obstetric care.
